The Fiber Subcontractor Prime Contractors Count On
Full-service fiber optic construction for FTTH, OSP, and MDU projects across the NY Metro and Northeast. One team, every phase, full accountability.
Who We Work With
Your Field Team, Extended
When you're managing a complex fiber buildout, the subcontractors you bring on either hold the project together or slow it down. ASI Fiber Group is a full-service OSP construction company based in Farmingdale, NY, with a track record built on active carrier subcontracts and consistent field performance.
We work as an extension of your team, not just a crew you plug in and manage. That means clear communication, accurate documentation, and the technical depth to handle every phase from survey through certification.
Our management team came up through the carrier side. We know exactly what a prime needs on a project to keep it moving and meet owner milestones.
Trusted by Major Carriers
ASI Fiber Group serves as a prime vendor for several major MSOs operating in the Northeast, with active FTTH subcontracts across some of the most technically demanding deployments in the NY Metro. Those relationships are our anchor reference.
Full OSP Scope
What We Bring to Your Project
ASI handles the complete outside plant scope, so you're not coordinating multiple subs for different phases of the same build.
Aerial & Underground Installation
Cable placement, aerial wreck-out and removal, directional boring (HDD), micro-trenching, and conduit work across FTTH and FTTX builds.
Fiber Splicing & OTDR Testing
High-count fusion splicing from head-end to termination. Bidirectional OTDR testing and certification to carrier specifications.
MDU Construction
Core drilling, conduit runs, lock boxes, hallway molding, and drop installations in multi-dwelling units across urban and suburban properties.
Engineering & Design
Project design from kickoff through as-built documentation. Aerial, underground, and MDU design aligned to owner requirements.
24/7 Emergency Repair
365-day emergency response for planned and unplanned service restoration. Available when active network infrastructure can't wait.
Single-Point Accountability
In-house operations across every phase. No handoffs between contractors. One team, one contact, full ownership of the scope we take on.
Why It Matters
Why Subcontractors Get Pulled, and Why ASI Doesn't
Prime contractors pull subs off projects for three reasons: communication breaks down, documentation falls behind, or field quality doesn't hold up under inspection.
ASI is built around avoiding all three. Our team came up through the carrier side, so we understand what a prime needs to satisfy an owner, pass a walkthrough, and keep a project advancing without rework.
"One team. One point of accountability. Every phase."
What We're Known For
-
Carrier-grade documentation. As-built accuracy, OTDR records, and test certification delivered to spec, every time.
-
Technical depth across all phases. Aerial, underground, HDD, MDU, splicing, and testing, in-house, without relying on secondary subs.
-
Consistent field communication. The team managing the project is the team in the field. No gap between office and crew.
-
Safety on every project. Safety is the first decision, not a checklist item at the end.
-
Built by a carrier veteran. Steve Nicklas spent 27 years at Altice USA before building ASI. That background shows up in how we work.
Where We Work

Our primary business is in the Northeast. For the right project, we're willing to travel beyond the region.
